PUPPY DOG DAY TRAINING is a UNIQUE & comprehensive program designed for your modern, hectic lifestyle. This program was conceived out of a desire to help you and your puppy have the best life together with the fewest trials and tribulations. How does it work?
I COME TO YOU and TRAIN YOUR PUPPY FOR YOU!
Puppy dog day training is more efficient than "board and train" or "day care and train" programs - no need to drop off or pick your dog up, I come to YOU and train your dog in YOUR environment! It's also much less expensive (and less lonely!) than sending your pup away for weeks at a time.
I know the language of dogs, how to train them, the correct reinforcement timing and AMANDA’S NO TRICKS, JUST TREATS! knows what a puppy needs to learn. While learning continues always and forever, I love to get puppies out into the world- seeing and doing everything they may see and do in their lives as SOON AS POSSIBLE.
For example, experts agree that a puppy ideally should:
- Meet a variety of people of all ages, sizes, shapes and ethnicities - infants, children, men and women.
- Experience walking on 12-16 different types and textures of surfaces
- Be gently and positively introduced to taking a walk in towns, parks and cities
- See and hear construction sounds, trains, traffic, alarms, stores, elevators, other dogs, cats, wildlife
All in a positive, relaxed and supportive manner!
But who has the time to do this? I DO!
In addition to this important socialization, I will teach all foundation and secondary behaviors - things like "sit", "down", "heel", "stay", "come", "leave it", "doorway manners" and "loose leash walking" - to your pup IN YOUR HOME, and then "hard proof" (test and reinforce the training in many different places with all types of distractions) these skills. This teaches your puppy to RELIABLY respond to these commands anywhere and in any situation!
Your pup will also learn self control, confidence, acceptance of being handled, how to take food with a "soft mouth", how to "play nice" with other dogs, and a whole lot more!

In-Home Dog and Puppy Day Training is available in the the following areas in Bergen County NJ - Pascack Valley and Northern Valley, Hillsdale, Ridgewood, Westwood, Bergenfield, Dumont, Englewood, Alpine, Fort Lee, Saddle River, Hackensack, Paramus, Teaneck; and in Rockland County NY - Nanuet, Nyack, Valley Cottage, Tappan, Piermont. Please inquire for availability of dog obedience lessons outside of these areas.
